X-Ray Operator Training
All First Coast Security Solutions PSOs are required to be FPS X-Ray operator certified. Contract requirements stipulate that this proficiency must be routinely maintained and tested. In order to reach our goals, First Coast Training Academy provides the following x-ray operator training and evaluation methods:
Site Penetration Training and Evaluation
Scenarios, varying in scope, will introduce simulated threats to officers while on duty. This method gives the officer(s) the ability to exercise their skills in their actual working environment and provides evaluation authorities with an opportunity to examine not only the officer(s), but related policies and vulnerabilities. Levels of penetration testing will vary from unannounced, singular objective-based testing, to large-scale scenarios that may involve one or more responding agencies or organizations.
Computer Based Training (CBT)
Using state-of-the-art X-ray Interpretation Training software, First Coast Security officers can improve their X-ray interpretation skills from nearly anywhere. Each officer is issued an individualized ID and password to access the CBT and complete their training from home, office - anywhere. Once accessed, officers will participate in a timed simulation program and test, where they can use a variety of features such as zoom, color, inorganic strip, organic strip, black & white, and inverse to modify the X-ray image. To increase performance, the program identifies threat categories where the student needs the most improvement and creates custom tests targeted towards weakness areas.
